The Board of Weston County Commissioners are elected to govern not mandate. This Board feels that it is someone’s personal choice to wear a mask or not, however we ask the Citizens of Weston County to respect each other’s choices. Be respectful of both sides, do not bully or disrespect them because their choice differs from yours. We also ask Citizens to not cause more work for Law Enforcement by reporting those who choose not to wear a mask. Also, if a business wants to establish a mask mandate, it is their choice and their patrons should comply and respect this choice. Thank you all for your patience and respect during this very difficult time.

Welcome to Weston County, Wyoming

Here you will find information about government services along with links to other state and local agencies. Weston County has it all – from tree covered hills to wide open prairies and rolling plains. Sitting snug up against the Black Hills, with the Thunder Basin Grassland spreading to the southwest, Weston County is a special place to live, work, and enjoy the outdoors. We value our heritage and way of life but always look to the promise of the future like our pioneer forebearers.

Weston County is accepting applications for the Community Charitable Relief Fund, a program initiated in the Governor’s Office December 21st.  The program is designed to allow “Charitable Organizations” the opportunity to seek reimbursement of expenditures related to providing goods, services, or payments to the public in respect to the COVID-19 public health emergency.  “Charitable Organization” means a nonprofit entity, including churches, which qualifies as tax-exempt under either Section 501(c)(3) or Section 501(c)(19) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Organizations should read the full rules below then review and complete the full application.  Completed applications are due February 25, 2021 by 10 a.m.
